Courchevel Airport is in the French Alps and has only a very short single runway of 525 meters (1,722ft). You can only land and take-off in one direction because of the landscape and elevation of 2,008 meters (6,588ft). Dash-7s operated into the airport under strict operational conditions-good weather, a tech free aircraft, and extra trained Pilots.
